Dear Santa

We are such lucky parents. Even with all the Christmas commercials, our kids don't want all the new, noisy, or expensive toys. Their list is simple: Addie wants paper, and Kai wants tape. Easy and inexpensive. I guess we'll be doing all our Christmas shopping at Staples. Maybe we'll splurge and get them each their own stapler as well.

Addie's Baptism

What a special day for our family...Addie's baptism. Dad did the baptizing and confirming, Nana played the piano, Aunt Teb and Grandma Great gave talks, and many friends and family attended. She is always a good example to her younger brothers and was an especially good example on this day. We are so proud of Ad!

Curls Sans Curling Iron

I would like to dedicate this post to my friend Carolyn. I hope you are still reading my blog even when there is a blog famine. These are rag-rolled curls! My clever niece showed me how to use a hairbrush so that the curls all end up the same size. I our case, we used our Pampered Chef whisk. Addie loves girlie things so it's a good thing we learned how to do these.

Halloween Pumpkins

OOH SCARY!!!! These were our pumpkins that the family carved. We spent a Family Home Evening finding templates on the Internet and carving these cool designs. We had a lot of fun gutting the pumpkins. Addie and Kai thought the squishy innards we fun to play with. The cat on the left was Addie's, with the middle jack'o'lantern being Kai's, and the final (right) one was Owen's. Daddy picked the design for Owen's pumpkin...

Halloween

Even though we totally fell off the radar since September, I wanted to post these Halloween pictures. Addie had to decide between "devilicious" (what it that supposed to be anyway?) and a pirate and as you can see she chose the pirate. She was the prettiest pirate and this marked the first year that she didn't go as a princess. Kai was a Pterodactyl. Would you have expected anything else? Owen fit in the cow costume so he didn't have much of a choice. This is the first year that we had three kids trick-or-treating so mom and dad have been enjoying the motherload (especially dad).
